Sucrose might be called a harmless sweetie, but Genshin Impact Anemo Catalyst user can be deceiving. She thrives on knocking her enemies around and boosting her allies’ reactions with Swirl. If you need good Anemo support, here we have the best Sucrose build with her best artifacts and weapons.
As far as supports go in Genshin Impact, one you see often (alongside Bennett), is sucrose. The Mondstadt Alchemist is cheap to build, easy to use, and does a very good job of buffing its allies, making it a favorite for new and experienced players alike.
But just because it’s simple doesn’t mean it can’t be perfected. Finding the right artifacts and weapons, and knowing their combos can go a long way in getting the most out of her.
So without further ado, read on to check out the best Sucrose build in Genshin Impact, including the artifacts and weapons that require you to grind.
Sucrose skills in Genshin Impact
Normal Attack: Creation of Wind Spirits
- Normal Attack: Sucrose performs up to 4 Wind Spirit attacks and deals DMG to Anemo.
- Charged Attack: Sucrose consumes a certain amount of Stamina and deals AoE Anemo DMG after a short cast time.
- Dive Attack: Calling upon the power of her Wind Spirits, Sucrose plummets from the air to the ground, damaging all enemies in her path. Deals AoE Anemo DMG on impact with the ground.
Honestly, Sucrose’s normal attacks don’t do much. Unless you hit their C4 (more on that below), they’re practically worthless. It’s good for triggering Swirl with both Normals and Charged Attacks (which are stronger) though, so weave these together to bounce those reactions off.
Elemental Ability: Astable Anemohypostasis Creation – 6308
Sucrose creates a small wind spirit that pulls enemies and objects to its location, fires enemies within its area of effect, and deals Anemo DMG.
This is good for dealing just a bit of damage and grouping enemies. Playing Sucrose as a Taser on the field allows you to use attacks to debuff the cooldown once you hit her C4, quickly becoming her primary carry tool.
Elemental Burst: Forbidden Creation – Isomer 75 / Type II
Sucrose hurls an unstable concoction that creates a large wind spirit. While it lasts, the Great Wind Spirit will continuously pull in enemies and surrounding objects, throwing nearby enemies and dealing DMG to Anemo.
Not only that, but the burst can absorb other elements – Hydro, Pyro, Cryo, and Electro – and swirl them around, dealing out tons of extra elemental DMG. This makes her a very powerful enabler with a lot of elemental mastery because these reactions hit like a truck.
Find multiple copies of Beidou? They have many great constellations to look forward to – particularly the aforementioned C4.
- Level 1 — Clustered Vacuum Field: Astable Anemohypostasis Creation – 6308 gains 1 additional charge.
- Level 2 — Beth: Unbound Form: The duration of Forbidden Creation – Isomer 75 / Type II is increased by 2 seconds.
- Level 3 —Flawless Alchemist: Increases the level of generation of Stable Anemohypostasis – 6308 by 3. The maximum upgrade level is 15.
- Level 4 — Alchemania: Every 7 normal and charged attacks, Sucrose reduces Astable Anemohypostasis Generation CD – 6308 by 1-7 seconds.
- Stage 5 — Caution: Standard Pistons: Increases the level of Forbidden Creation – Isomer 75 / Type II by 3. The maximum upgrade level is 15.
- Level 6 — Chaotic Entropy: When Forbidden Creation – Isomer 75 / Type II triggers an element absorb, all party members gain a 20% elemental DMG bonus to the corresponding absorbed element for its duration.
Sucrose benefits from one artifact in particular: Viridescent Veneer. Given the extra spin damage as a 4-part, and the fact that Sucrose’s abilities are each dependent on the mechanic, it makes sense to run them for all of the bonus damage.
Given that all of Sucrose’s passives and abilities also rely on Elemental Mastery, it’s a no-brainer that many of her artifact stats should try to tweak them. This includes trying to hit it on the sub stat of each piece at least, or the main stat if possible. However, stats like ATK%, Anemo DMG%, and CRIT are not lost.
That said, if you can’t find good Viridescent Veneer sets, Instructor or Wanderer’s Troupe are great to fill the gap. With that in mind, here are the best Artifacts of Sucrose in Genshin Impact.
|2-piece set: Anemo DMG Bonus +15%
4-piece set: Increases Spin DMG by 60%. Decreases the enemy’s Elemental RES on the element placed in the Vortex by 40% for 10 seconds.
|2-piece set: Increases Elemental Mastery by 80.
4-piece set: Triggering an Elemental Reaction increases the Elemental Mastery of all party members by 120 for 8 seconds.
|2-piece set: Increases Elemental Mastery by 80.
4-piece set: Increases the DMG of charged attacks by 35% when the character uses a catalyst or bow.
Now you can choose to run Sucrose as a heavy-hitting DPS, or more of a support focused on putting down all of her spells at once to group enemies. Regardless, you want Sacrificial Fragments for her weapon, as it both maximizes her Elemental Mastery and gives her a second cast of her skill (if she’s lucky).
The latter is a better build to focus on, and if you do, there are two great free-to-play options in Mappa Mare and Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers. The latter, despite being a three-star weapon, offers the best ATK buff in the game and shouldn’t be underestimated.
However, if you want raw damage and are willing to spend a bit of money, Lost Prayers to the Sacred Winds will help you out with a CRIT DMG build. Find below Sucrose’s best weapons in Genshin Impact:
Funnily enough, Sucrose is one of the select few characters in Genshin Impact whose talent level up and Ascension materials can all be found in one region: Mondstadt. It kind of makes sense given the alchemist’s background in studying all things northern.
You can get Hurricane Seeds from Anemo Hypostasis and Spirit Medallion from Boreas from the Andrius boss in Wolvendom for their boss materials. Whopperflower Nectar can be found by killing the aforementioned flowers, and pinwheel asters are scattered across Anemo-Nation.

Similar to Xingqiu and Bennett, Sucrose is a real support in Genshin Impact that can be injected into any comp. Her Anemo powers are well-regarded by all, as they help group enemies and generate huge reactions on the battlefield.
Combine them with DPS allies who are welcome to take advantage of those big swirls Diluc, ganyu, Hu Taoor ayaka is a great option. Throw in a healer and another support and it’s a very solid team.
However, if you want Sucrose to shine a bit more, you can have them run alongside in a Taser team fish, Beidouand Xingqiuwho uses both Beidou and Xingqiu’s bursts very effectively with her fast normals.
However, if you only need an Anemo ally to build your team, Sucrose is generally the most flexible option.
If you need anemo support in a pinch, Sucrose is your best option – especially when it comes to value for money.
