NFL Draft 2022: The Analysis

The 2022 NFL Draft is headed to Las Vegas this year, with many irregularities to be expected. The Jaguars are on the clock starting Thursday at 8:00 p.m. ET, with Rounds 2-7 following on Friday and Saturday.

The NFL offseason caused a lot of shock moves and we still don’t have a draft. There are many questions that simply won’t have an answer by Thursday night, such as who will be picked first and when the first quarterback will be taken off the board.

Travon Walker has jumped to the top of the favorites list to be voted 1st overall after Aidan Hutchinson spent most of the time at the top of the list. Walker, fresh from a national championship, only made his first college start in September 2021, but it’s hard to deny his sky-high advantage. Walker is a big boy, fast, and the sky is the limit for the former Bulldog.

Hutchinson will certainly be among the first names to be mentioned in the draft. A versatile operator, he would instantly increase the intensity on anyone’s frontline. Big pieces are this guy’s forte.

Elsewhere in the draft, Evan Neal raises eyebrows as the best offensive tackle in the draft. Neal is an experienced and versatile offensive lineman with an enticing combination of size and athleticism. A former five-star recruit from Bradenton, Fla., he is ranked the nation’s #1 offensive tackle and #7 overall player.
