Belfast: Jamie Dornan recalls filming a scene that left him in ‘tears’


Jamie Dornan opened about a scene in Belfast that made him “tears” during filming.

In the film, Dornan plays a father who tries to protect his family from the violence that breaks out in Belfast when the city is rocked by The Troubles.

In a new interview with Everyone, the actor from Belfast – recalls the emotional filming of the film.

However, there was one scene in particular that left him and the entire cast “in tears”.

“The last day, we did a scene where we were all walking down the street and they were playing ‘And the Healing Has Begun’ by Van Morrison, and we were all in tears,” he recalls. .

“Anyway that song means a lot to me, most of Van Morrison’s music means a lot to me, if you’re from that part of the world, it will. And Ken [Branagh] went for a walk with us, because there was a point when Ken was also in the movie. “

The 39-year-old continued: “I will never forget that moment. I feel privileged to be in that movie with those people and to have had that experience on the last day was unbelievable.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Dornan recalls his childhood in Belfast as “really brilliant”.

The actor said: “It is not all doom and gloom. “As much as there was a civil war going on around that time, there was also a lot of light.”
