The annual Billboard Music Awards were held in Las Vegas on Sunday (May 15) to recognize and celebrate the music industry’s chart-topping artists.
At the ceremony, hosted by rapper P. Diddy, Drake, Kanye West and Olivia Rodrigo accepted the night’s top awards.
While Rodrigo has won New Artist, Hot 100 Artist, Streaming Songs Artist, Radio Songs Artist, Billboard Global 200 Artist, Billboard 200 Album, and Top Female Artist awards, the Certified lover boy Singer Drake won five categories including Top Artist, Top Male Artist and Top Rap Artist.
West, who legally changed his name to Ye last year, secured all of the night’s gospel-related awards, including Christian and Gospel Artist, Christian and Gospel Album and Christian and Gospel Song.
Other music artists who have won multiple BBMAs include Doja Cat, Bad Bunny, and Taylor Swift.
The ceremony, held at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena, also saw performances from controversial music artists such as Travis Scott and Morgan Wallen, after Diddy announced his mission for the night is to “undo the cancellations.”
