Baytown man Evan Ceron was arrested after being accused of shooting his neighbor’s dog after attempting to stab the animal earlier

BAYTOWN, Texas (KTRK) – A Baytown man is behind bars after being charged in connection with the shooting of his neighbor’s dog.

Evan Ceron was charged with disorderly conduct for allegedly firing a pistol shot at a dog named Bella.

“The bullets could have entered our house and our TV room downstairs. Could have shot us in our house. My baby could have been shot,” said Larry Martin, Bella’s owner. said.

Bella was wounded in the leg by a bullet that eventually tore off part of the flesh.

“She ran to me. She was just bleeding everywhere,” Martin said. “She was shot in the leg almost to the bone.”

Martin believes Ceron is trying to kill his dog. But this is not the first time this has happened. In fact, court records show this is Ceron’s second arrest in three months.

In December 2021, he was accused of breaking into Martin’s backyard by breaking down a fence. Investigators said he was holding a homemade spear.
“He was taped to his head by a 6-foot pole with a 6-inch knife while my dog ​​was on a leash trying to stab her,” said Martin, who explained that he We started tying Bella on a leash to keep her away from the fence. he shares with Ceron.

Martin also said Ceron made the comment that he wanted to kill the dog because she was barking.

Fortunately, Bella was not injured in the December aggression.

Martin said family members who were at home at the time witnessed the break-in and called the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators said Ceron may face additional charges for Tuesday’s shooting.
