Barcelona target Hakim Ziyech transfer from Chelsea as ‘Plan B’ if they fail to sign Man City star Ferran Torres

BARCELONA is said to be considering the transfer of Chelsea star Hakim Ziyech.

Ziyech, 28, joins the Blues in 2020 but injuries and inconsistent form mean he has been unable to cement a regular place in the team under Thomas Tuchel.

Barcelona believe he will be an upgrade to their current options and could seek a deal with Chelsea.

But only if they fail to secure a transfer for Manchester City striker Ferran Torres, Report Fabrizio Romano.

Barcelona are long-time Torres fans and had a Transfer bid to him was rejected last summer.

But they are said to have agreed terms with the Spaniards and have submitted an offer of £34 million to City.

City could shell out £42m and that could lead Barca to turn their attention to Ziyech.

The Moroccan has signed for Chelsea for £40m but he has only had one goal and two assists in ten games this season.

And his lack of game time has sparked talk of him leaving Stamford Bridge.

Borussia Dortmund is understood as January move plot for the winger with Chelsea said it will open for sale.

As for Torres, injury has kept him out of action for the past few weeks and with Raheem Sterling and Bernado Silva back in shape, Torres could continue to struggle for a few minutes.
