BACHELOR in Paradise stars Riley Christian and Maurissa Gunn have SPLIT six months after getting engaged.

Fans were “out of breath” at the announcement from the former couple, who made history by becoming the first black couple to get engaged on the show.

On January 24, 2022, fan-favorite couple Riley, 32, and Maurissa, 25, announced that they broke up after getting engaged to Bachelor in Paradise six months ago.

“We decided to go our separate ways. We never imagined this, but we got to a point where we both needed to make our own efforts,” they said. Everyone in a joint statement.

“We appreciate everyone’s love and support so far along our journey, and we just ask that you please respect our privacy as we learn about the matter. this.”

The dynamic duo made Bachelor history when they entered the BIP season finale – the first black couple to do so.

Couples Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt and Kenny Braasch and Mari Pepin was also engaged on Season 7.

The two called it off “a few weeks ago” according to People – and fans flooded Twitter with their heartbreak.

‘BUT HOW ABOUT SUNDAY MORNINGS?’

One fan wrote on Twitter: “I am so sad about this #maurissa and #riley separation. I will never receive this investment in #BIP couples again.”

Another said: “Riley and Maurissa have officially broken up so that means Sunday morning will be canceled until further notice.”

“Riley and Maurissa from single life in breakup heaven really hurt me a bit – LOVE AINT REAL, wrote a third.

“BUT HOW ABOUT SUNDAYS?!?!??!” wrote a quarter.

As fans may remember, Riley shared a vision he’s had since he was 21 with Maurissa – cook breakfast on Sunday mornings and hear his kids run down to the stars.

His wife then woke up and joined them for a meal.

Trouble in Heaven

The sad news comes as the former couple appears to have broken up in the previous weeks.

Fans noticed that Maurissa deleted some of her social media posts with Riley after the 2021 holiday break, but she’s still keeping their commemorative photos from their time on the show.

She went on to share some puzzling videos – one without her engagement ring.

Riley meanwhile shares topless Instagram Post coffee on Sunday.

The caption reads: All we can do is get the job done. Let’s work on our work, our health and become better people.

“The end result is not always in your control. And even if you go down, you will never be a failure because you did all you could.”

At the end of December 2021, Maurissa tweeted“Sometimes you just have to see the person they are, not the potential they have.”

Then on January 6, 2021, Reily shared her own quirk Twitter message, reading:

“Try not to stagnate in the face of obstacles that are beyond your control. Just do what you can. That way, when things finally settle down, you’ll be able to descend. running land.”

At the start of season 7, Maurissa dated Connor Brennan first, but when Riley showed up, it was a done deal and the pair were inseparable throughout the season.
