Ashley rose to fame as a member of the Pussycat Dolls which was named the hottest girl group in the world.

But she swore she wouldn’t give up her sexy looks when she grew up.

Ashleycurrently the host of the reality show E4 Really dirty dancing, says: “As you get older, you start giving less allowance. You are more connected to yourself and wiser.

“I feel excited for the coming years because I feel better than I did in my twenties. Part of how I express my femininity is to feel sexy.

“It makes me sad when I think about women not allowing themselves to feel that as we move on.

“I’m like, ‘Let’s get our sassy, intense, feminine sides out there’. Take that part of yourself. It doesn’t stop with age, does it? I mean, we’ve all seen Jennifer Lopez at 52. . . ”

Pussycat Dolls reunited in 2019 with plans for a tour – since canceled partly due to the pandemic – and performing on The X Factor on an X-rated show has attracted more than 400 complaints.

But Ashley hit back at the critics, saying they should ask themselves why they were so angry.

She said: “When we performed on the X Factor, it was a different intensity from our twenties.

“We are women who show up together and some are really triggered by that. An interesting conversation would be to ask why.

“Why are you activated by us? What is bringing in you? Maybe you should let your little tiger in there.

“Listen, it’s a balance. I don’t walk every day in lubricating and rubbery clothing.

“But it’s nice to allow that part of you to exist. Why not?”

Pussycat dollsNicole ScherzingerAshley, Kimberly Wyatt, Jessica Sutta, Carmit Bachar and Melody Thornton – have won an army of fans with their catchy hits and sexy performances in Noughties.

The group has sold 54 million records, becoming one of the most successful girl groups of all time.

Jessica left in 2008 amid conflicts within the group, and they disbanded in 2010, before reuniting in 2019.

Ashley has also become famous on television. She was on I’m A Celebrity. . . Get me out of here! 2012 and the following year as a judge on Dancing On Ice.

She also had a role on Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, where she presented the Ant v Dec segment until 2016.

SERIOUS Romance

She had another time on Dancing on the ice in 2014 and compete on Seriously come to dance in 2018 – reached the final against Russian professional partner Pasha Kovalev before losing to Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton.

Ashley, a single, thinks she really has to thank for helping her jump back like she did with the Pussycats.

She said, “After the Dolls disbanded, I didn’t dance. So the Strict type rekindled that in my soul.

“When you dance, you are connecting with your body. In life, it’s all in the head or the heart, but when you’re dancing, they’re all connected as one.

“If you have good chemistry with your partner, it shows. You already have a deeper connection to the dance.

“When I was growing up, I always danced alone. When I made Serious, and all the Latin ballrooms and toys, you were up against another human being.

“You have to listen to each other’s movements and bodies to synchronize. There is a completely different kind of surrender to that style of dance. It has a sexual flair to it. “

That sexual flair will be on display in the UK’s first series of Aussie shows Really dirty dancing, Ashley will co-present later this month with Bo ‘Selecta! comedian Keith Lemon.

The contest will see ten celebrities pair up to perform iconic dance moves from the 1987 film starring Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey.

The contestants included TV presenter Anthea Turner, former Blues singer Lee Ryan, influencer Saffron Barker and former Towie star James “Arg” Argent.

‘CLOSE AND Integrate’

Couples will compete to be declared the best Patrick and Jennifer.

And Ashley – who performed the film’s famous lift on Serious – believes the spark between celebrity couples is crucial.

She said of the filming: “Chemistry is important, especially in Dirty Dancing because the scenes are so close and intimate.

“You want to be able to feel like you can relax and not have to think about it too much.

“If you have that kind of trust, and that connection and chemistry, it makes the experience so much more enjoyable.

“When I danced with Pasha in the serious play, I didn’t know much about him, but everyone around me complimented him so much that I really felt like I was in safe hands. The chemistry is built up, bit by bit.

“The great thing about doing The Real Dirty Dancing is that everyone really gave their all. They showed up and wanted to deliver.

“The show is going to be really fun to watch and it definitely captures the nostalgia of the movie. I remember watching Dirty Dancing over and over again as a kid.

“And when we were filming, I went on set and said, ‘God, we’re in Dirty Dancing.

“It feels like the dream of my little self has come true. When I was a kid, I was obsessed with movies. I love it so much because of growing up dancing, the story – and Patrick Swayze.

“Even watching it now, because I watched it again before we shot the show, I was like, ‘Oh, that’s great. I didn’t realize how suitable Patrick was because I was so young, but now I think, ‘God, he got ripped off’.

“The movie for me is about witnessing that dance. It was inspired. I just love dancing, so for me it was a charm – people acting and dancing. I’ve always been intrigued by that but Dirty Dancing is really special. ”
