Arsenal contract rebel Alexandre Lacazette ‘in discussions with former club Lyon’ over summer free transfer move

ALEXANDRE LACAZETTE is said to have begun ‘discussions with Lyon’ to return this summer.
Arsenal spent £52m on the LIgue 1 club for the striker in 2017.
He now looks set to leave Emirates for nothing after failing to agree an extension.
The 30-year-old will become a free agent in June and football.london says he has begun discussing personal terms with Lyon over a transfer.
They say Lacazette ‘currently in discussion with several European teams’ – but Lyon ‘still leading the way’ in the chase to sign him.
Their president Jean-Michel Aulas recently confirmed their interest in bringing him back.
He stated: “We will do our best to sign Lacazette in June.
“We will do our best to bring him back to Lyon.”

Aulas is supported by Lyon’s sporting director Vincent Ponsot, who added: “Yes, we are in contact with Lacazette and yes, we are interested in him.
“We’ve always kept in touch with him.”
Laczette, who scored 129 goals in 275 games for Lyon, has since scored 70 goals in 192 games for the Gunners.
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is also set to lose Eddie Nketiah, who is also out of contract at the end of the season.
This comes after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang join Barcelona for free on the Monday delivery deadline.
