An Army paratrooper stationed at Fort Bragg was shot dead outside his home in Fayetteville, North Carolina this week.
Sergeant Nicholas Bobo, 22, was found by police at his apartment complex suffering from multiple gunshot wounds around 11:00 p.m. Tuesday, according to WNCN. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Bobo, an automated logistics specialist assigned to the 407th Brigade Support Battalion, is survived by his wife, daughter, and parents. He enlisted in the Army in 2019 and has been stationed at Fort Bragg since 2019.
Investigators don’t believe the shooting was an accidental one and say Bobo’s car was stolen, reports WNCN.
The Army Criminal Investigation Command and the Fayetteville Police Department are investigating the incident.
