Apple’s bug means your iPhone could leak your texting habits to your friends

YOU may want to watch out for this iPhone error if you can’t reply to your friends.
A recurring iOS issue with Apple’s Messages app is said to be flaring up again.
Based on MacRumors, the bug may affect the “read receipts” feature on your iPhone.
It can result in your iPhone sending read receipts even if you have disabled the feature.
This means someone can see that you read their iMessage and didn’t reply.
If you’ve enabled this feature, the “Sent” statement you see when you send someone a message or iMessage will change to “Read” when they’ve read it.
It means they can also see when you have read their messages.
iOS 15 users have reported not being able to turn off their read receipts feature.
Some people find that restarting their device can solve the problem temporarily.
You can also try disabling and re-enabling the feature.
Go to Settings, click Messages, then scroll to “Send Read Receipts”.
Here you can try turning the feature on and off.
There doesn’t seem to be a permanent fix at this time.
