Apex Legends players want the next weapon to be an LMG, but with a twist

Apex Legends players are asking Respawn for a new LMG to add to their weapon arsenal, but they want it to use light ammo instead of heavy or energy.

Currently in Season 12, the Respawn Entertainment battle royale wields 28 unique weapons for players to use in their quest for victory.

One class that lacks variety, however, is the light machine gun. With only four different options and two of them with energy ammo, players want to see something new.

This has a multitude of players on a Reddit thread demanding that a new LMG come into play, but consuming light ammo instead.

Apex Legends fans think light ammo LMG would be a perfect fit

Just me or don’t we have a light ammo LMG? I want one. from top legends

In a Reddit post of “Shockwave00721,” the user asks if they alone would like an LMG with light ammo added to the game for a long time.”

Other Redditors have thought carefully about how this LMG would work. One person said: “I’m guessing somewhere between 5 and 9 damage per bullet. Make it burn through ammo like the R-99, but more effectively at long range.”

Apex fans want this LMG to have an insane rate of fire but deal less damage than something like the Spitfire. They also think it should be easy to use and have low recoil.

Apex Legends players want light ammo to get an LMG.

If something like that is added, it would be the first light ammo LMG in the game and would retrace leaks from April 2021 that reported a light ammo LMG in the works.

For now, however, this is just a fan concept as Respawn itself hasn’t confirmed anything.
