Apex Legends’ exploit lets players into locked IMC armories to troll enemies

Apex Legends players have already found ways to get into the locked IMC armories when other teams are battling Spectres. However, don’t expect the Smart Bins to help you.

Ahead of the launch of Apex Legends Season 13, a number of leaks and dataminers discovered that Respawn would bring the deadly Specters from Titanfall and make them a part of the battle royale.

The Specters now inhabit Storm Point and protect the handful of IMC Armories that have sprung from the ground since the start of the new season.

Players can fend off waves of deadly robots in exchange for high-tier loot. And while your team is usually locked inside the armories to face off against the Spectres, you might see other players making their way inside as well.

Weapons and loot are available in the Armory – but so are specters guarding it.

That’s right, players have already figured out a few ways to get into the Armories once another team triggers the PVE encounter to get the loot that lies there.

As with the dungeons of World’s Edge, players could manipulate various legend abilities to make their way inside. As we’ve already seen, a common tactic revolves around Wraith’s portal, but also uses the Tridents on Storm Point to crush their team from above.

Unlike the Vaults, a team cannot use the Smart Lootbins unless they have the encounter activated. However, they were able to scavenge the loot collected from other teams.

Well, it’s not exactly a winning tactic, but as some players have pointed out, it’s a way to troll other teams and send them back to the main menu in anger.

Of course, Respawn may turn back and patch the exploit shortly, but for now, watch out for unwanted visitors when battling Spectres.
