Anthony Quinlan beat his on-screen brother Mike Parr in a big audition.

Known for playing brothers feuding with Ross and Pete Barton, Mike and Anthony have remained close friends since leaving ITV.

Recently, Mike caught up with Anthony, telling him about the recent audition he did for BBC’s London Killing.

Anthony decided to audition for the same part – and got the job!

Reuniting for their first on-screen appearance since 2018, Mike and Anthony were at Mecca Bingo’s Live from Studio M as they discussed their recent auditions:

“I just did a little job in London called London Kills,” says Anthony.

‘I also auditioned for it but didn’t pass. And yes, it is for a similar section too! I actually told him about the audition! ‘, Mike added.

Anthony laughed: ‘That’s the thing, we’re up against each other for a few things. I want him to have it more than anyone else! We always give each other a little support if we’re auditioning for something. And like I said, I’d rather him get it than someone else’.

In Emmerdale, after Ross’s acid attack, he left the village in 2018 with Rebecca White and her son, Sebastian.

As for Anthony’s character Pete, he leaves Dales in 2020 after living in the village for 7 years.
