Another homeless man was found shot dead in lower Manhattan on Sunday – and police are investigating if he is the latest victim of what appears to be an act Serial shooter targeting vagrants in the areasaid sources.
The latest fatal victim was found wrapped in blankets around 6:30 p.m. outside a chipotle on the corner of Greenwich Street and Murray Street in Tribeca, police sources said.
The killing follows two similar shootingsone fatal, against homeless people in Soho early Saturday morning.
In those first two cases, police have said the same mentally ill suspect first shot and wounded a 38-year-old tramp as he slept on King Street in Soho.
About an hour later, the sicko shot and killed a homeless victim wrapped in a sleeping bag about 15 blocks away outside of 148 Lafayette St.
The second victim of Saturday’s shooting was hit in the head and neck.
City leaders have urged the community to come together and help find the insane killer.
“Homelessness becomes murder. We need to find that person and we need New Yorkers to help us,” Mayor Eric Adams said at a news conference Saturday night.
