British Airways has cut more than 2,000 flights from its schedule until March.

The airline has blamed the drop in air travel demand on the pandemic – not Omicron directly.

Ryanair has also eliminated flights, with all flights to and from Morocco canceled until 1 February 2022.

And the boss of TUI has warned that it could be the next airline to cut flights if cruise unrest continues.

But there is hope for the holidays as Sajid Javid says UK travel restrictions may end “very soon”.

Last night, Boris Johnson announced that all adults will receive a Covid booster shot this month, as the country tries to limit the impact of Omicron.

Addressing the nation in a pre-recorded speech, the Prime Minister urged Britons to get vaccinated and warned the country was facing “tidal waves” of Omicron cases.
