Announcing the 2020 Boston Online Film Critics Association Awards

Jane Campion’s latest film has taken home an impressive seven awards.

The Boston Online Film Critics Association (BOFCA) has announced the winners of their 2021 awards, with The power of the dog ran the table with seven wins and was named Best Picture of the Year. The only acting award The power of the dog didn’t walk away with the award for Best Actress, with Kristen Stewart earned that honor for her work in Spencer. BOFCA prides itself on its stellar selections and previous Best Picture winners Mad Max: Fury Road and Get out certainly backs its originality from the Academy Awards.

The power of the dog cast Benedict Cumberbatch, Kirsten Dunst, and Kodi-Smit McPhee won acting awards for Best Actor, Best Supporting Actress and Best Supporting Actor respectively. Licorice pizza was honored by winning the award for Best Orchestra, with Cooper Hoffman and Alana Haim lead in charge of that cast. Sand dunes also get some love, with Hans Zimmer recognized for Best Score and Joe Walker win for Best Edit.
