Bowskill, 20, was filmed grabbing Angel “like a rag doll”, carrying her across a busy street and hurling her into the back of a speeding Truck.
Moments later, the college student who was romantically involved with Chay fell from the car, brain damage So bad she couldn’t walk, talk or feed herself.

“She has a lot of friends, now he’s just taking everything from our family.
“He took all of that away and I can’t forgive him now, never.”
Bowskill was found guilty of kidnapping and raping but was unable to push Angel out of the car.

Angel’s family said they were outraged that Bowskill, who had with his friend Rocco Sansome, 20 years old, for the ambush on September 27, 2020, was sentenced to just two years in prison for kidnapping – although the offense carries a maximum sentence of life.
And they say they plan to call for a review of the kidnapping conviction, saying it is “excessively lenient”.
Family – desperately fundraising to renovate their house so she can move in – have called for their case to also be sent to the Court of Appeal.
Nikki’s mother, a cleaner, said this morning: “Nothing. The other man said it ruined his life – he had no clue.”
“We want justice for our daughter and enough money to bring her home where she belongs, to her family.
“I think [the sentence] should be reconsidered and I think he should be given a longer sentence. The judge said you are looking at a too heavy sentence, I don’t think he received a too high sentence at all.
“Angel will probably still be in bed when he’s out, ruining other people’s lives.”
It comes after the Attorney General, Suella Braverman, confirmed that she had received a complaint about the judgment made last week.
The UK’s top barrister and her legal advisers will now review the case file to determine whether it should be referred to the Court of Appeal for formal review.
Legal experts have backed the Angel family’s call for a review – pointing to the proposed start date for the abduction at 18 months – meaning Bowskill is just six months away.
Bowskill could face life behind bars for the offence – and a judge even recognized the serious harm caused.
Angel suffered a life-changing injury in September 2020, when she was dragged in the back of a truck by Bowskill.
