As many know, actress Amber Heard has faced many controversies about her relationships with others.
Whether or not those allegations were true, those closest to her knew she could be a handful because of her passion. So much so that Heard once confided that her friends would warn any potential partner she was dating.
Amber Heard found dating an actress difficult
Heard has been very shy about her dating life in the past when the zombie land Actors preferred to keep it private. But the actress spoke about some of the challenges she’s faced in maintaining a relationship as a celebrity.
“It’s really hard when you live your life out of a suitcase,” Heard once said company (via E-News). “But it does weed out really shallow people – if someone’s still with you after the second film, they’re probably a good one! I like to trust people in general – it’s the southern girl in me.”
The paparazzi were also something she had to maneuver around to enjoy intimacy with loved ones. According to Heard, it took her a while to get used to the attention.
“It’s hard because I was raised to be polite and respectful whenever someone calls your name — you turn your head,” she continued. “It took me a long time to overcome the heartfelt instinct, the polite, human instinct to smile and say thank you when someone compliments you, but then they get their picture, which is annoying.”

Heard was aware that she brought a level of intensity to their relationships. But her friends knew that about her too. So much so that the Aquaman Star shared how they would caution potential partners against romanticizing her.
“Whenever my old friends meet someone I’m dating, they immediately warn them, ‘She may look posh, but when she’s angry she can go to the trailer park real quick,'” she once said in an interview with the magazine W. “But I’d rather be passionate than boring. I can’t imagine living a quiet life.”
This may not have been the only time someone Heard was interested in was warned about her. It has been claimed that Depp himself was told by his own friends to avoid tying the knot with the actor.
“Depp’s closest circle had begged him not to marry Heard or at least enter into a prenuptial agreement. Depp ignored the advice of his loved ones. And Depp’s recreational drug and alcohol use was rumored to be crippling,” a source once claimed to Rolling Stone.
But Depp wasn’t listening and “reportedly cut himself off from the only people looking for him.”

Though her controversial relationship and divorce are all the rage in Hollywood now, Heard kept her relationship with Depp private prior to the divorce. This was because Heard didn’t want to stir up any possible controversy or speculation about their married life. In a 2015 interview with Elle, she confided that she feared giving too much information would result in a loss of freedom.
“What really scares me is the potential for losing my freedom,” she said. “Never in my life do I want to lose the ability to traverse the world with freedom and ease.”
