When a woman in her 90s got lost, a kind Amazon driver found her and decided to help. Elderly people suffer from dementia and cannot find their way home.

Alzheimer’s disease makes people forgetful and often they find themselves in dangerous situations – lost and alone. Ms. Gigi, 92, with a terminal illness, wandered out of her home last month.

With no memory of where she lives and where she’s going, the elderly woman is an easy target for a road accident or even assault. Luckily, a kind man saw her and jumped into action.

Recorded via the doorbell camera, Gigi was spotted leaving the house and walking aimlessly on the street. A later clip from the same camera shows what happened next. A stranger left Gigi.

The attentive man was used to delivering, but he had never delivered like this before. As a driver for Amazon, he often leaves parcels at people’s doorsteps. However, this time he had a very special delivery.

As the woman was walking around Franklin Park, New Jersey, driver Wilmar noticed her and realized that she looked lost. He went to her side and tried to help. When he knew she needed some urgent help, he didn’t hesitate.

Thanks to Gigi’s medical alert bracelet, Wilmar was able to contact the woman’s daughter, Karen. The woman gave Wilmar her home address, and he was able to drop her off and take her safely inside. Gigi’s comeback moment was special.

Although there was no applause or emotional reaction, Wilmar’s actions spoke for themselves and touched many hearts. In the clip shared on YouTube, the driver carefully helps the elderly woman out of the delivery van.

The man then walked, hand in hand with Gigi, to the front door. The old man was safe and sound thanks to the kindness of a stranger. Woman’s daughter speak Wilmar “goes above and beyond.”
