By Gervais Afterlife recently released the third and final season on Netflixwith Many viewers were left emotional (and a little confused) before the finale.
When the movie first came out, most of the cast – but especially Gervais – could hardly shoot a scene without getting in on the laughter.
At the end of the video, which you can view in full hereGervais is said to be laughing hysterically during a scene starring Ken Otley, the head of the local amateur drama company played by Colin Hoult.
When someone called him “amateur,” he said, “You dare not – I’m a professional actor and director, I’ll let you know.”
He then begins one of the songs from the fictional theatrical version of the Martin Scorsese film, singing: “Are you talking to me? Because I’m talking to you. I don’t see you can start a conversation with anyone else. “
The lyrics continue: “Bang bang – I’m a taxi driver! I drive through the night to choose who I like. Bang bang – I’m a taxi driver! If you are dealing with crack then you will get one behind my back. “
Gervais, watching the scene from behind the camera in the blooper reel, laughed. “I don’t know what to do,” he could hear screaming.
Many fans of the show asked Netflix to actually do the musical after they see this scene.
