Adams County Sheriff Hosts Patrol Car Live Stream

ADAMS COUNTY, Colo. (KDVR) – Adams County Sheriff Rick Reigenborn began a live stream Saturday night for community members to watch the nightly shift from inside the patrol car.

“Jump in the back seat, get Pepsi, get popcorn, don’t mess around and come see what we can do from the front seat of the sheriff’s car,” Reigenborn said.

He started his live stream at 9pm right after the new year. They’ve held four different live streams so far, but Saturday gained the most attention after a chase was caught on camera.

“At some point, that car started moving again and crashed into our patrol car,” Reigenborn said.

The suspect was eventually arrested, but in the middle of five hours of Saturday’s live stream, they also arrested someone on suspicion of using a DUI and responding to a call with a shot.

“They can see what we’re doing every night on a Saturday night,” Reigenborn said.

He said he was inspired to start the live stream after a sheriff in a Minnesota county was doing something similar except on Friday night.

Throughout the streams, Reigenborn asks trivia questions about different things in the county, and whoever gets the answer right gets a prize he’ll deliver to your house.
