Adam Levine’s alleged DMs, toasted lyrics, parodied

A man’s alleged infidelity is the entertainment source of the entire internet.

Social media users on platforms like TikTok and Twitter spoofed the flirtatious text and Instagram messages Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine is said to have sent another woman — neither of whom was his pregnant wife, former Victoria’s Secret model Behati Prinsloo.

On Tuesday, Levine denied having an affair but admitted to “crossing the line.”

Perhaps the biggest parody yet is the clip of TikToker Miles Jones claiming he was the inspiration for Maroon 5’s 2012 hit “Payphone.”

The fake messages Jones jokes about Levine follow the same format the band leader allegedly sent to Instagram model Sumner Stroh. In the alleged messages, Levine said he wanted to name his unborn child after her, but in Jones’ version, he asks if he could name the band’s new single “Payphone” since “Jones couldn’t speak because he’s on a payphone “.

“My thoughts at this time are with Adam’s wife and children. They’re the real victims, joking aside,” he captioned the video, which has 2.5 million views.

One TikTok user even rewrote the chorus to Maroon 5’s “Girls Like You” to say, “Girls like you end up in DMs with me/ Because I’m a horny dog it’s true/ and I need a girl like.” you/ girl like you/ have a name I could use / could cause when my wife is due / I need a girl like you.

Director and songwriter Sam Haft shared his “Celebrity DM Story.”

Director and songwriter Sam Haft also used the Levine news to “share his own story” about fake messages he received from the late actor Wilford Brimley, who died in 2020 at the age of 85.

“Do you have a girlfriend?” Haft joked that “Brimley” asked him.

“I’m married,” he repeated.

“Can she fight,” Brimley continued.

“TikTok throttles my views because they are FEAR OF THE TRUTH. Repost to show the algorithm you won’t let them silence me,” Haft continued in his comments section.

Despite the noise, Levine and Prinsloo appear as one. The couple, who have been married since 2014, were spotted Tuesday picking up their children from school in Montecito, California.
