‘Active gunman’ at Brooklyn subway station leaves ‘multiple injuries’ as explosive devices found on 36th Street

GUNSTONES erupted at a Brooklyn subway station, leaving several people injured on the platform.
Chaos ensued during Tuesday morning’s rush hour as New York City Police Department officers investigate a shooting at the 36th Street subway station in Sunset Park. Brooklyn.
The NYPD confirmed shots were fired at the station but has yet to confirm the number of casualties injured.
Firefighters said they responded to a smoke call at the 36th Street station just before 8:30 a.m. and found multiple gunshot victims.
The New York Fire Department confirmed that officers found “several unexploded devices at the same location.”
Police warned New Yorkers to avoid the area and expect emergency vehicles and delays.


The Metropolitan Transportation Authority says trains on lines D, N and R were delayed due to an unspecified investigation.
Photos posted on social media showed several people covered in blood on the platform.
A video posted on the Citizen app showed a heavy law enforcement presence at the scene.
