Huff’s attorney spoke to members of the media about their clients’ appearances in court.
“Today it was basically up to the court to inform my client of her bail conditions. He also briefed her on her legal rights, just in case she didn’t understand them while she was in prison,” said Huff’s attorney, Emily DeToto.
Huff is accused of leaving her children alone for at least two days while she was visiting the children’s father, Markel Dorsey, who issued a court order preventing him from approaching Huff or the children. Deputies said they found the couple just 30 minutes away at a hotel off Highway 6.
Huff was told in court Monday that she must obey the Child Protection Services order regarding her children. She will not have a visitor and will continue on a CPS service plan.
When asked by the judge if she had anyone to help her, Huff broke down in tears and said she had no family living nearby. and it’s just her, her children, and her children’s father, Markel Dorsey. She also told the judge that she suffered from PTSD, anxiety, depression and paranoia.
The judge told Huff that the most important thing right now is for her to take care of herself mentally.
Last Saturday, Angela Huff spoke exclusively to ABC13 after being released from prison. Huff is accused of abandoning a child under the age of 15.
“I love my children very much and I made a bad decision,” the 27-year-old mother said shortly after her release.

A group of teenagers said they saw three children running through the streets around their Spring home. They then went into the house and said they found the toddler who allegedly just fell out of her crib.
The teenagers took pictures of the inside of the house and told ABC13 that the house was in pretty bad shape.
The children’s father, Markel Dorsey, remains behind bars and is due to appear before a judge again on Friday. He is accused of violating a protection order and fleeing officials.
According to court records, this isn’t the couple’s first run-in with law enforcement. Dorsey was already out on bail on charges of domestic violence.
