HOUSTON (Reuters) – A Texas grand jury on Friday declined to indict former Texas quarterback Deshaun Watson, a Houston prosecutor said in a statement.
“After a Harris County grand jury received all of the evidence and had an opportunity to hear all of the witnesses, the grand jurors declined to indict Deshaun Watson,” said Dane Schiller, a spokesman for the Harris County Attorney’s Office.
The procedure is classified by law and no further information about the investigation will be released, he said.
Watson is still facing civil lawsuits charging the former quarterback with sexual assault and improper conduct.
