Laura, 39, shockingly split from husband Alex Goward this year after admitting they had “taken different paths” in their lives.

The real estate expert appears to have overcome her “overwhelming sadness” by throwing herself into the hard work on a new property.

She moved from her old family home in Purley, which she shared with her children Rocco, eight, and Talia, six, to the new mansion in Surrey.

Laura has been keeping fans updated on the progress of her new flat on her YouTube channel, showing how she’s re-roofed.

Other clips show the Channel 4 presenter transforming the garden with new landscaping and tearing down old sheds and outbuildings.

While the star was also busy with her pink jumpsuits removing walls and rearranging the rooms in the stunning home.

After moving in this month, Laura told OK! Magazine that she already feels “at home” in her new apartment.

“As I walked through the door, it felt like I was coming home,” she said. “I knew it from the moment I first saw it. It has such a nice feeling. I feel like this is my little place in the country.”

The star opened up that the renovation has restored her love of “buying places and beautifying them” like she did before her television career.

Whilst the house has so far been repaired and modernized for the family to move in, Laura has bigger plans for the mansion in Surrey.

She finished with OK! that she was hoping to add a two-story extension for two more bedrooms and a gym.

Laura announced she bought a new home in January and shared new snaps of the building on her Instagram page.

Alongside the photo, Laura wrote, “The scaffolding is in place and the renovation is beginning…

“It’s no secret that I love renovating homes. I love to turn something shabby into something special…”

Revealing that she has big plans, Laura continued: “My planning application was validated yesterday and while I now have a couple of months before I can (hopefully) start the main work.

“In the meantime, I’ll start fixing the roof and repointing the brickwork!”

And Laura posted some photos from inside the house on her story, adding: “I have BIG plans for my new home. But in the meantime it’s cozy with lots of lamps, flowers and candles.”

Laura’s new start comes after she announced her shock split from Alex after 13 years together.

She married insurance broker Alex in 2012 — three years after they met.

Revealing their split, Laura said: “This is something I never thought I would say, but after 13 years of being together, Alex and I have split.

“Our children are and will always be our top priority and we would respect our family’s privacy at this time.”

Alongside her message to fans, Laura shared a picture that read, “Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.”
