A 46-year-old man was shot in the torso in a road rage by another motorist in Queens, police said.
The victim was traveling west on the Horace Harding Expressway when he became involved in an argument with another motorist at 2 p.m. Saturday in front of 62-10 108th St. at the Long Island Expressway exit, police officers said.
“One of the drivers got out of a white sedan and shot the other once in the chest,” an NYPD spokeswoman said.
The unidentified gunman got back into the white sedan and drove away, police officers said.
The victim was taken to New York Presbyterian Hospital in Queens with non-life-threatening injuries, police said. There are no arrests.
Less than two hours earlier, a 17-year-old man was shot in the right leg at 12:15 p.m. outside 149-30 85th Street near 149th Avenue in Jamaica, police said. The “highly uncooperative” victim was taken to Cohen Children’s Medical Center, where his condition was listed as stable, authorities said. There are no arrests.
The afternoon bloodshed follows three people injured in late-night shootings in the Big Apple.
