4400 is the best show you don’t watch – here’s why you should start

Let’s face it: there are plenty of televisions out there. From traditional network chains to cable to the multitude of streaming services that seem to grow every day, it’s hard to keep track of every great new show out there. 4400, however, should definitely be on your list.

If the name of the program sounds familiar, it may be because it restarts 4400, a CBS show that began airing in 2004. The new series, which premieres this October on the CW, retains many of the same elements that made people love the original series but adds some twists, making it is even more consistent with current times.

The show just ended mid-season, making it the perfect time to catch up on the first eight episodes before the second half of the season premieres this fall. Read on to discover 4 reasons why this show is one you don’t want to miss.

You can’t have a good sci-fi movie without a compelling central mystery, and 4400 There is suspense and mystery in the endgame. Of course, there’s a bigger mystery looming: why are these people disappearing? How did they travel in time? And where does their strength come from?

But there are also some smaller threads, like those confusing threads we’re trying to wrap around our heads. For example, what happened to one of the officers in charge, Jharrel’s younger brother? And what are the motivations of governments for the different publicity strategies they employ?

There are many questions constantly asked and based on, but one thing is for sure: 4400 makes us want more every week.

While the show can be dark and involves serious issues, there’s still a lot of humor to balance it out. After all, a major part of the plot revolves around people from all different backgrounds and time periods coming together in this day and age. The fact that a World War I doctor and 2010s influencers managed to communicate and work together is exciting – especially as far as slang is concerned.

In the words of Stefan from Saturday night live, this program really has everything. In addition to drama, mystery and humor, it also gives us a lot of relationships to stem from. The theme of finding allies and people you can trust in the most unexpected places and circumstances is shown through.

This isn’t just true of romances (though there’s a lot of that!). The chosen themes of friendship and family are also important to the structure of the show, and it’s heartwarming to see how so different people can be brought together with love and understanding.

One of the most amazing things about 4400 is representative, as this show gives those who have never been before the opportunity to shine their time in the limelight. From some Black leading to a disabled character, countless powerful women to many LGBTQ+ people, there is unprecedented diversity.

Not only that, each of these characters and their experiences feel authentic, layered, and real. It’s clear that the screenwriters really took care to make all the characters feel multidimensional. They are not merely traits, tokens, or stereotypes – but instead, they all feel like completely flesh-and-blood people.

The show sends the message that there’s beauty in our differences and that it’s a powerful thing to embrace who you are fully and without apology. Not only will 4400 teaches you about others, but it can also teach you something about yourself.
