CASTALIA, NC (WNCN) — Deputies are still searching for suspects following a manhunt Saturday following a chase and crash involving a stolen car in Nash and Franklin counties, deputies said.

The incident occurred late Saturday afternoon when Nash County deputies were involved in a car chase involving a suspect in a stolen car, according to a press release from the Nash County Sheriff’s Office.

The suspect overturned a Dodge sedan in a wreck on NC 58 near White Level Road, which is about 2 miles north of Castalia within Franklin County.

Four suspects ran away from the scene, according to MPs. Nash County lawmakers released photos of the suspects on Sunday.

Also on Sunday, officials said deputies were still looking for the four in the Castalia area, which is near the Nash County-Franklin County border.

“We believe they may still be in the area,” said a press release from Nash County lawmakers. “We have several MPs following leads.”
