4 teenage girls charged with robbing Café L’amour customers before leading police chase in SE Houston

Houston police said the suspects were four teenage girls and a 19-year-old male driver.
Officers were called to Café L’amour, a games room and cafe on Boone Street, just after 1:30 a.m. because of an ongoing robbery.
According to investigators, a group of suspects entered the game room, fired one shot into the air and demanded money from customers inside.
Police said the teenagers robbed people at the business.
“They walked into this game room, fired one shot into the air, and started demanding cash from the people in it,” said Lt. E. Pavel. “They rob everything that’s inside, then they leave.”
When officers arrived, they saw the suspects walk out of the business and run to a white SUV.
The officers tried to stop them, but the SUV started up. The suspects led the police pursuit for about 14 minutes before officers stopped them with a successful maneuver.
Police detained all five suspects. According to police, the youngest person is a 14-year-old girl.
No one in the game room was injured.
Investigators said they recovered a pistol and plenty of cash from the suspects. They were reviewing surveillance video at the game room.
