3 arrested charged with shooting at Wake Forest home, officials say

WAKE FOREST, NC (WNCN) – Two men and a woman each face four charges in connection with a shooting at a home in Wake Forest Thursday night, according to Wake Forest City spokesman Bill Crabtree.

According to police, officers reported a shooting at a home on the 600 block of E. Nelson Avenue shortly after 10 p.m.

A man was taken to hospital after the shooting with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Authorities said Thursday night they were interviewing people of interest but no arrests had been made.

On Friday morning, Crabtree announced the arrest of three people.

The following suspects were each charged with one count of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, one use of firearms within city limits, and two uses of firearms on occupied property:

  • Jamel Antonio Yarborough, 18
  • Alisiah Jaliah Dunston, 20
  • Tyrek Donte Willis, 23

Arrest records show the suspects were arrested around the corner from where the shooting took place.

All three are being held at the Wake County Detention Center.

Yarborough is held on a $175,000 secured bond, Dunston received a $140,000 secured bond, and Willis received a $170,000 secured bond.

The three suspects are due to appear in court on Friday afternoon.
