23-year-old woman sexually assaulted in New York City subway station

A 23-year-old woman was sexually assaulted at a Brooklyn subway station during the morning commute by a thug who threw her against a barrier and ripped at her clothing, police said.

The suspect grabbed the young woman as she was walking down the steps to the southbound Q Train station at Prospect Park station just after 7 a.m. last Thursday.

He then pushed the victim against the bars separating the steps from the platform, police officers said.

The perpetrator covered the woman’s mouth with his hand as he ripped at her clothing and touched her breasts.

The horrific attack only stopped when another person happened to walk past – causing the suspect to flee the station, police said.

Despite the ordeal, police said the victim was not physically injured.

The NYPD released surveillance footage of the suspect at the station Tuesday in a bid to track him down.

He was last seen wearing a dark jacket, yellow hoodie and dark pants. Cops described him as about 6 feet tall, weighing 155 pounds, with a dark complexion and a slim build. 23-year-old woman sexually assaulted in New York City subway station
