2 charged after shooting at Murphy gas station next to NC Walmart, police say

GREENSBORO, NC (WGHP) – The Greensboro Police Department has released additional information on reports of gunshots being fired at a gas station in Murphy USA on Friday.
Investigators said they arrived at the Murphy USA site at 2107 Pyramids Village Boulevard at 12:58 p.m. after receiving reports of a firearm discharge.
An unnamed complainant told responding officers that a hit-and-run occurred at the scene sometime between 12:55 p.m. and 12:58 p.m., police said.
During their investigation, officers said they found “sufficient probable grounds” to charge Andrew Bounya, 27, with the following:
- Criminal possession of stolen property
- Negligence hit-and-run
Edwin Rodriguez Mojica, 29, was also taken into custody by the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office on Friday and charged with the following charges:
- Assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill
- Crime firing a firearm into occupied property
- Offense armed to terror of the people
Mojica was taken to Greensboro Jail Central on $250,000 bail.
Mojica will appear in court on Monday.
