11 years old started to cry when she read a Christmas present saying she was adopted

A tearful viral video has captured the moment an 11-year-old boy identified as Carter Wyles was in tears as the boy’s caring aunt surprised him with adoption papers on December 25 .

Wyles’ aunt, Leah Kiphart, has decided extend her family of seven to eight on Christmas Day by helping her young grandchild escape an unwanted home life to a more loving environment.

In a video shared on Good Morning America’s Facebook page, Kiphart hands the box over to Wyles at their home in Lancaster, Ohio. Immediately, the 11-year-old opened the box and discovered a family portrait and a handwritten note.

The letter asked the boy if he wanted to be the son and brother of Kipharts forever. Handwritten notes read:

“Carter, this is our most recent photo of our family. We all want you to be in the next photo and be a part of our family. Carter, do you want to be in our next photo? become Kiphart and be our son and brother? We love you.”

Before the child could finish reading the touching note, his voice bankrupt, and his head fell into his as Kiphart moved to wrap her arms around her new son. In the background, Kiphart’s husband can be heard jokingly speech:

“Now, you can stay here forever. Well, until you’re 18, and after that, I’ll kick your ass.”

Wyles agreed to the adoption offer through tears. In one interview with ABC’s WSYX branch in Ohio, the boy explained that the moment was very emotional for him.

Other than that, Wyles says it feels great. On the other hand, Kiphart said her nephew’s adoption status was nearing the deadline and was about to change to give outsiders a chance to adopt him, thus deciding to adopt Wyles.

She said this may be the last time they see the child, and they feel it is essential to keep him in the family. Kiphart more:

“Many people talk about how lucky he is. We are just as lucky to have him in our family.”

More than anything, Kipharts is happy to see the current Wyles opening video go viral. They hope it encourages others to consider adopt older children, not just babies.

Carter said he was touched by the video that brought joy to the world. He also admits that it feels great that others can enjoy the happiness of him and his family.
