1 person injured in shooting in Katy area, congressmen say

It happened around 8pm in the 21700 block of Highland Knolls Drive.

According to parliamentarians, the victim was quickly taken to the hospital.

ABC13 was at the scene to gather more information. One witness said they called 911 for help when a man stepped out of his car limping, claiming he had been shot.

When help didn’t arrive quickly enough, the witness told ABC13 that they planted police flags in the street.

Authorities have yet to release a description of the suspect.

The investigation is ongoing.
